A Field Weekend At Victoria

The Field Day festival is all set to return once again this year at Victoria Park London. In the past few years, the Field Day has become one of the most popular summer festivals in London. Constantly rising bookings and reservations as well as showcasing of various kinds of talents not only from England but also from other countries is proof of the growing interest about the event. This year the event will no longer be just a day long. The entire event will be spanned over a weekend in June for two days. The scheduled dates for Field Day 2014 are 7th and 8th June, 2014.

The event is a hot spot for various talented individuals to stage their talents. The alternative acts include indie rock, weird pop, folk musicians, underground dance producers and more. The bleep-pop master Joe Mount and his Metronomy Project will be returning as the Field Day headliners on Saturday. Other participating teams include some from US, others from Middle East and Africa and many more from other parts of the world.

The tickets to the event are already available online. The early bird offers have ended and presently the Saturday ticket is priced at £50. The Sunday event ticket can be bought at £43. One can also get a combo deal at just £80 for a two day ticket. The ticket prices are inclusive of booking fees.

Those who wish to have a break from the musical extravaganza can also try out a few games at the other stalls at the venue. The Village Green is specially designed keeping in mind the atmosphere of a village and has a number of refreshing options to chill out including a number of games like tug of war, sack races and the egg and spoon race. Some might also like a few funky games like the winkle picking and the tea bag tossing contests.

It is easy to get to Victoria Park using any of the public transports. The tube stations serving the region include Bow Road, Mile End, Bethnal Green, Bow Church and Stratford. The Bethnal Green, Hackney Wick and Cambridge Health overground rail stations serve the Victoria Park. Apart from these, a number of buses are also available which will take one to the Victoria Park. Since the venue does not have any parking space, it is best not to bring private transport. The venue is also a non-alcoholic zone.
