This Marble Arch Tube station was opened on 30 July 1900 by the Central London Railway (CLR). Similar to all the new as well as original stations on the CLR, Marble Arch was assisted by lifts to the platforms but the station was recreated in the early 1930s to put up escalators. This proverb the conclusion of the original station building, planned by the architect Harry Bell Measures, that was located on the corner of Quebec Street and Oxford Street, and a standby sub-surface permit hall opened further to the west side. This new necessities came into usage on 15 August 1932. The original superficial building was destroyed later on.
The platforms of the station originally lined in purely white tiles, were afterwards renovated with attractive vitreous coating panels in 1985. The panel pictures were designed by Annabel Grey. The Marble Arch Tube station then modernized in the year 2010 resulting in new surfaces in all areas of the station, apart from the holding of many of the pretty enamel panels at platform level.

The station is termed after the Marble Arch nearby and is situated at the north east side of the Marble Arch junction, at the Oxford Street’s western end. There is an unstable and fluctuating neck to the west of the station allowing trains from Oxford Circus to terminate here.
