Developing the transport London needs

When it comes to transport links in any city in the world there are always going to be problems and complaints, something isn’t going to be fast enough, often enough, cost too much or is always delayed, then it is hot, broken down and crowded, the list goes on when it comes to transport in any city.

When it comes to London and the transport in the city there are several choices for you to take, you have the overhead that runs from the surrounding areas into London centre, you then have the unground which is every 2 minutes and moves at speed around London, this is usually the fastest and most convenient form of transport when it comes to commuting. You have the London red busses, if you have time to spend taking in the surroundings and being in traffic, then you have the world famous London black cabs, where these are a good option if you need to make calls and you want to sit back and relax they can get you around London in a convenient manner but they can also get stuck in London traffic and you can be in rush hour grid lock depending on where you are hoping to get.

Currently in London there is a lot of promotion for people to use bicycles to get around the city, they are available for hire and the routes are being made safer for cyclist to be able to commute, it is one of the fastest forms of transport for you to use.

When you think of the improvements that could be made to the roads in London you can have a list as long as your arm, there are several factors to consider, time scales and delays, the cost and the effects it will have on the city as a whole. When the roads and the motorways where built and designed they did not and could not possibly predict the amount of traffic that is on the roads today. The amount of cars that are travelling though the city each day is astounding. If more people took to the bikes and the trains there would be a lot less traffic on the roads and being able to make improvements would be easier.

As it stands now there are so many cars on the roads and because the city runs on a one way system it would be difficult and almost impossible to make the changes that are needed for the roads to be able to handle the amount of traffic passing daily, the changes need to come from the people of London to get as many cars off the road, if more people used public transport and then there would be more money I the systems to improve the transport links, it is a circle of cat and mouse chasing each other, it isn’t going to end until the cat decides to change its course of action.
