London is the home of Andrew Lloyd Webber, whose musicals have dominated the West End theatre since the late 20th century. Oxford Street in London is a busy pedestrian and traffic road located in the City of Westminster in the West End of London. It is famous as one of the busiest shopping centers of not just London but all of Europe.

Notting hill which is to the north of Kensington also has a lot to offer visitors and tourists. The place is a mix of artists, middle class yuppie families, celebrity residents and socialites. It is known throughout the world in hosting the world’s second biggest carnival. Notting hill is home to the famous Portobello Road markets.

Film Industry

London has played a significant role in the film industry, and has major studios at Ealing and a special effects and post-production community centred in Soho. London is a major centre for television production, with studios including BBC Television Centre, The Fountain Studios and The London Studios. Many television programmes have been set in London, including the popular television soap opera EastEnders, broadcast by the BBC since 1985.

Music venues

As far as music is concerned, London has numerous venues for rock and pop concerts, including large arenas such as Earls Court, Wembley Arena and the O2 Arena, as well as many mid-sized venues, such as Brixton Academy, the Hammersmith Apollo and the Shepherd’s Bush Empire.[249] Multitude of music festivals, including the Wireless Festival, are held in London.
