Food and Wine Mark London Fathers Day Celebration

June 17th, 2012 was celebrated as Fathers Day and a number of London restaurants and bars had organized special treats to make the dads feel special. Though the day is not as famous as Mothers Day, the list of treats listed in many London cafes and bars might lead you to think otherwise. On the day, the best place to see proud dads accompanied by their children were bars and pubs such as The Crown and Two Chairman in Soho, Camden Town Brewery, The Craft Beer & Co, and The Jugged Hare. Most of these pubs had complimentary beer being served for dads being treated for their love and care.

This year beer was not the only thing being served for the fathers, many of them were also seen at the Artesian and Vine in Clapham which is known for its finest wine collection. Many of the impressed dads were also seen at the Vinoteca in Marylebone which is known for serving the best sparking English wine in the region.

Father’s day was also commemorated at many restaurants in London which offers special menus to impress all the dads who walked into the eatery with their family. A place which went all the way to impress the dads was the Black and Blue which served special steak and wine for their customers on this special day. Food loving dads were also treated to innovative dishes inspired by the rich British culinary history at the Princess of Shoreditch, Spanish pinxtos at Jose, sumptuous Mexican fare at La Bodega Negra, and some really affordable European food at The Anthologist.

All in all! Fathers Day in London was a delight for all food lovers in the city. In case you missed out on celebrating this year, make sure that you are in London to celebrate the next Fathers day with your dad and participate in the ‘not to be missed’ gastronomical affair.
